Why are registered sex offenders allowed to live by schools and parks?
I'm not talking about some poor guy who was 18 in a relationship with a younger girl whose parents flipped out and charged him with statutory rape ; I'm talking about convicted rapists, molesters and sick-minded individuals who are allowed to live in close proximity to schools, parks and other places where children frequent.
Yes, I know that 90% of abuse occurs between a child and someone they know, with half of the instances being with a family member..However I am still disturbed that these people are allowed to live in places where unsuspecting , potential victims roam.

They reason they are allowed is because that city has not passed a law that says how far away they must live.
Talk to your city counsel about it.
